Yūsha no Kuse ni Namaiki da. Soshite Keitai e... (勇者のくせになまいきだ。そして携帯へ…, subtitle: "And thus into Mobile...") is a mobile game based on What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!?. It was released on 29th January 2009[1] for flip phones in Japan via EZWeb[2], with a demo also available featuring the first three stages. Its subtitle is a reference to the Japanese subtitle from Dragon Quest III, "And thus into Legend...".

The game is no longer available for download, and all but the first iteration's demo version is now considered to be lost media. Due to the online licence checking servers for the game also being taken down, the games cannot be played without additional modifications to skip them. Regardless, the games can technically be played on modern devices via apps like MelangeBREW.

Gameplay[]

Title screen

Yūsha no Kuse ni Namaiki da. Soshite Keitai e... contains 38 stages, including 8 training stages, 28 challenge stages, and 2 bonus stages, all in the format seen in Training stages.[3] Thus, Dig Power and time limits apply. It features MIDI versions of the original game's soundtrack, and monster and hero sound effects are played in a low-quality WAV format.

Much of What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!?'s gameplay principles remain. Dig Power, the food chain, culling monsters, nutrients and mana, and more are all preserved. However, being a game for flip phones, the digging process seen in main series games is more cumbersome, using the D-Pad to move and pressing 0 to dig. Additionally, animations are slightly slower, and the screen is scrunched up accordingly.
